LifeWorks of Sonoma County Hiring for Finance Manager Job at Santa Rosa, CA Full Time

LifeWorks of Sonoma County provides outpatient mental health therapy to youth and families throughout Sonoma County. We are a small but busy non profit in search of a Finance Manager to handle day to day financial operations as well as budget development, management and financial analysis.

The Finance Manager reports directly to the Executive Director and works collaboratively with administrative and program staff to build effective systems, meet contract goals and maintain the financial health of the agency.

Schedule

Flexible schedule Monday-Friday, 25-30 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Manage billing systems, invoicing and incoming payments for all services provided
• Accurately and transparently track all finances using industry, state and other requirements
• Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff and board of directors
• Make financial recommendations in the best interest of the agency

• Analyze costs, spending, risks and agency performance
• Develop financial forecasting, trends and projections
• Manage the preparation of the agency’s budget

• Serve as liaison to external auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances
• Facilitate the submittal of annual tax returns and other obligations
• Upkeep written procedures for the finance department
• Complete payroll, staff reimbursement and check requests
• Participate as an active member of the leadership team

Skills

• Experience in the financial sector with similar responsibilities
• Previous experience in non profit finance highly desired
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP)

• Proficient user of finance software including QuickBooks and Excel
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Experience with accrual based accounting

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
