About the Role

The Senior Shared Services Finance Officer is a key member of the Shared Service team who works closely with key internal stakeholders and teams to ensure we comply with organisational finance-related policies and procedures.

Managing a team of Shared Services Finance Officers you will be responsible for heightened level of transactional finance knowledge and broader finance expertise to assist in timely and accurate execution of transactional finance functions.

This a permanent full time role and can be located anywhere in Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Shared Services Finance Officer to accurately code, process and collate accounts payable related forms and credit card reconciliations
• Manage high volume of payments to carers and contractors including dissemination of funds to carers
• Complete Masterfile maintenance of supplier and carer data
• Banking and management of minor finances such as petty cash reconciliation processes
• Respond to queries and escalate as required
• Ensure all financial, statutory and taxation requirements are met
• Prepare of monthly, yearly and other periodic accounting reconciliations
• Assist in developing effective process within finance transactional services
• Establish and undertake compliance protocols to ensure accurate information
• Analyse finance transactional processes/transactions to identify variations to established processes, recommend improvement and implement approved actions
• Develop, implement and monitor Finance Transactional Services SLAs
• Actively contribute to managing change and support the implementation of organisational projects, strategies and initiatives

Skills & Experience

• Degree level qualifications in Business, Accounting or similar, or demonstrated equivalent experience a high volume, dynamic environment
• Demonstrated experience in leading a team
• Demonstrated experience in procurement to pay functions such as accounts payable or procurement within a high volume, dynamic environment
• Demonstrated experience in managing competing priorities and to deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes and quality standards
• The ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and implement change to wide group of stakeholders
• High level communication skills with an attention to detail and accuracy
• Intermediate Excel skills and experience using a computerised accounting system

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
