Life Skills Preschool Hiring for Principal Job at Whitestone, NY Full Time

The Life Skills Preschool is a special needs program servicing students ages 2.9 to 5 years old throughout NYC. Our program strives to foster a rich family-oriented environment and a diverse school community. Lifeskills is seeking to hire a dedicated, dynamic, and thoughtful principal who will work closely with the school community, staff and administrative team.

The duties of the School Principal are:

• Supervising professional staff Implementing the goals and objectives of the program
• Outline new procedures and policies
• Review the implementation of the curriculum
• Prepare job descriptions
• Evaluate school staff (formal and informal)
• Advertise for open positions and interview new staff
• Manage purchases for the school
• Prepare Agenda for weekly meetings
• Establish emergency procedures
• Work with Committee of Preschool Special Education (CPSE) Administrators.
• Participate at team meetings when possible.
• In coordination with the Therapy Supervisor, monitor the delivery of Related Services and the documentation of those services.
• Attend weekly teacher planning meetings.
• Meet with parents/caregivers to discuss their child’s individual needs and responses

Education And Experience

A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in SBL is required. Experience is

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $54,734.00 – $167,667.00 per year
