Medical Receptionist (Full Time)

Position Type: Full-time (40 hours per week), Bi-Weekly Saturdays

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in managing the front desk operations of our medical spa. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting clients, managing forms and documents, processing payments, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining effective communication with our spa team members.
Responsibilities:
– Open and close the medical spa according to scheduled shifts
– Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the reception area and common spaces
– Greet clients in a warm and friendly manner, providing excellent customer service
– Collect and process necessary forms and documents, scanning them into the electronic health record (EHR) system
– Handle various payment methods, including cash, credit card, debit card, and CareCredit®, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
– Answer incoming phone calls, follow provided phone scripts, and assist callers with inquiries
– Conduct daily cash drawer counting and prepare bank deposits
– Schedule client appointments efficiently, considering availability and providers’ schedules
– Relay phone messages accurately to the appropriate providers
– Maintain effective communication with other spa team members, fostering a collaborative work environment
Requirements:
– Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role is REQUIRED
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
– Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail
– Proficiency in using basic office equipment and computer systems
– Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is REQUIRED
– Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
– Working knowledge of HIPAA and safe guarding protected health information (PHI) is REQUIRED
