REMOTE POSITION – PT (20+hr) – Office Assistant – Natural Medicine

This is a 100% remote position. This role presents an opportunity to thrive in a healthy, positive environment, and make a difference in other people’s lives. You will be assisting the Doctor run her medical practice and supporting patients scheduling, labs and supplement needs. Ideal for a professional with previous medical office management experience seeking a long-term opportunity and the chance to grow with the business.

POSITION:
– Virtual work M-F; 8:30am – 12:30pm PST

– 2+ year experience running a medical, dental or health practitioners’ office

– Long Term Partnership

– NO LOUD DISTRACTIONS or SOUNDS AT HOME including kids and animals

– Must have proficient work station

TASKS:
– Patient support: answering phones, returning calls, scheduling & rescheduling patients, Gmail & Patient Portal email responses, upholding office policies, billing

– Patient care coordination: ordering labs, clarifying treatment plans, supporting supplement orders, scheduling follow-up appointments, sending handouts, virtual events

– Patient engagement: monthly newsletters, IG posts, virtual events, speaking events, group medicine

– Office support: ABOVE + intuiting my needs, completing tasks to ensure the business is running smoothly and growing, research & development, speaking opportunities, referral & partnership opportunities

PERSONALITY:
– Believes in natural medicine and its healing ability

– Work Style: efficient, organized, goal oriented, attention to detail, skilled multi-tasker, proficient at triaging tasks, can move both slow (in supporting or educating patients) and fast (in getting tasks complete in a timely manner), self-sufficient and independent, takes direction and constructive growth tips well

– Work Ethic: hard worker, committed to your work/patients/the Doctor/partnership & growth in the co, reliable, timely, willing to p/u extra hours if requested by DR and if it fits into your schedule, no alcohol – drugs – other substances, leaves personal life and emotions outside office hours

– Necessary skills: clear communicator, quick learner, can regurgitate educational information taught by the Doctor for patient support, comfortable talking about money (selling high priced items for patients benefit, accepting money for our services, collecting money on past due bills), comfortable selling our services (talking about natural medicine and it’s benefit to the patient, advocating for their continued care and support), comfortable with different personality types and patients’ potential moods, problem solving any issues that arise

– Disposition: patient and kind, confident and assertive, understanding w/ healthy boundaries (upholding office policies), people person w/ a vibrant personality, positive attitude and high energy at work

– Basic skill-set: Word, Excel, Power Point, social media posting, MailChimp, quick and proficient typist

– BONUS experience: CharmEHR, FullScript, Vibrant America, Labcorp, Quest, ect
