Life Center of Galax is recruiting for FT and PT Counselors!

$5,000 to $10,000 Sign on Bonus

Life Center of Galax is opening a brand new ASAM 2.5 Partial Hospitalization Program location dedicated to helping individuals find purpose and develop the skills necessary to actualize long-term recovery from substance use disorders. We are looking for individuals who desire the opportunity to help save lives while feeling challenged and professionally enriched on a daily basis.

As a counselor at Life Center of Galax, you will deliver evidence-based care including:

• Conducting individual and group counseling sessions
• Facilitating lectures and leading family therapy sessions
• Completing assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, aftercare plans and discharge summaries.
• Ensuring all documentation regarding patient care, treatment and incidents is completed timely and in a clear and concise manner.
• Evaluating the need of the patients and determining if referrals to other programs or facilities is needed.
• Demonstrating a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledging and working to resolve complaints. Recognizing that patient safety is a top priority.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.00 – $39.00 per hour

Education:

• Bachelor’s (Required)

Experience:

• Addiction counseling: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CSAC, LPC, LMFT, LSATP or LCP Virginia license (Preferred)
