Life At The Table Hiring for Virtual Chef Entertainer/Instructor Job at Remote Full Time

NOTE: 1. This is NOT full-time employment. It is a part-time, contract position. The schedule is dependent upon our client’s needs and may include nights and weekends. 2. Please answer the screening questions. Only applicants who answer the screening questions will be considered.

We are looking for a Chef to join our growing team to entertain and teach our virtual culinary team building, cooking experiences, and cooking classes.

Chef responsibilities include leading groups of people through the culinary team building and cooking experiences in a fun, engaging, and entertaining manner while teaching cooking skills and sharing cooking tips and tricks. You should have a strong culinary foundation, philosophically aligned with the mission of Life At The Table, and have the mindset of delighting our customers.

You will work remotely from your own kitchen. Your kitchen must be a clutter-free and attractive space.

We will provide you with a Zoom account, and the recipes with list of ingredients and equipment needed for each engagement. Your job will be to deliver the culinary team building/cooking experience on time and ensure the successful preparation of the dish by each participant.

Your background must include significant culinary experience including previous experience teaching in a consumer/public cooking cooking school. You must have a flexible schedule as we are time of day and time zone friendly to accommodate our customer’s scheduling needs.

If you are passionate about sharing your love of cooking with others and have public speaking experience, we want to talk with you! You will be required to prepare and deliver a 30-minute demo as a part of the application process.

Responsibilities

• Lead customers through a cooking experience and culinary team building experiences using your culinary expertise to entertain and teach.
• Effectively manage customer interactions and questions to engage and entertain.
• Efficiently balance the need for interaction with beginning and ending the engagement on time.
• Ensure the successful preparation of the featured dish with clear instructions.
• In everything you say and do in class, reflect the philosophy of Life At The Table.

Skills

• Proven work experience as a Chef, Cook, AND Instructor
• Leadership skills
• Ability to remain calm and carry on : )
• Excellent time management abilities
• Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
• Culinary school diploma preferred
