POSITION SUMMARY:

A LiDestri Instructional Designer is responsible for creating new hire training certification programs, as well as ongoing training, mainly for plant employees. The ideal candidate will be vested in their own personal growth and excited to support the growth of others.

**There is an opportunity to work remotely, with on-site requirements while the initial curriculum is being built.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

• Design highly interactive and task-based training programs using multiple media and blended approaches (eLearning, video, instructor-led, job aids and on-the-job support tools)
• Develop learning objectives that align to task analysis
• Build collaborative and consultative relationships with subject matter experts, clients and peers
• Define and document learning needs assessment, data analysis, and recommended learning solutions
• Use raw content provided by subject matter experts to write scripts, storyboards, and design documents
• Create assessments that align to course objectives and determine learning transfer
• Write SOPs to document key production processes
• Keep up with training developments relating to equipment/processes to maintain accurate information and materials

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• 4+ years of experience designing complex, instructionally sound training programs using multiple delivery methods (instructor-led, computer-based, media-enhanced, etc.) This includes the conduction of needs analysis, writing instructional objectives, recommending various instructional models, creating blended learning solutions, and integrating measurement standards
• Knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design principles
• Demonstrated competence with a wide variety of instructional design and development tools (e.g. Articulate Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.)
• Strong design sense as demonstrated both in print materials and online learning samples
• Must be able to work closely with a team and also manage projects independently from analysis through development
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
• Ability to learn and train others on the use of company equipment and assets
• Knowledge of and ability to proactively recognize and report safety issues or incidences, and maintain a clean, safe, work environment
• Desired skills in Adobe PremierPro/Final Cut Pro or other video editing software (optional)

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Regularly required to sit, use hands; typically used for office positions
• Occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, with a potential of up to 25 pounds
• Semi-frequent exposure to manufacturing plant floor requiring the use of personal protective equipment (ear plugs, safety glasses, bump cap, skid-resistant leather shoes, etc.)
• Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (hair net, no jewelry, no fake nails or eyelashes, no food/drink, gum, etc. in manufacturing plant)
• Time split between Plant (production floor) and Office environments
• Environment/work areas can be very wet, slippery and they have continuous forklift traffic
• Will handle and work around various moving equipment and chemicals.
