Licensed Tutors Hiring for Maths and Science Teacher Job at Woking, England Full Time

Our teachers formulate and conduct lessons tailored specifically to the needs of each pupil in order to ensure that they achieve success to their fullest potential. Being an extremely academic and results-oriented tuition centre, we actively involve both parents and school teachers in the tutoring process.

We are currently expanding our team of tutors specialising in the core subjects of maths and science. Preference will be given to individuals who can teach science and maths up till KS4. There is an opportunity to get involved in the management and expansion of the company for candidates with a strong business acumen because the current principal is leaving after six years of service.

This is a part-time opportunity: current hours of operation are on Saturdays from 1-3pm and Wednesdays from 6-8pm. Teaching hours may be subset of this hours in accordance with student numbers.

Expansion of business hours is probable from increased enrolment during January and February. All lessons take place at The Maybury Centre (Board School Road, Woking, Surrey, GU21 5HD).

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide academic support to primary and/or secondary pupils in the subjects of English, maths, and science (1:4 teacher-pupil ratio). Write a short report on the students’ progress every 4 weeks. Liaise with the students’ school teachers to boost their results in school. Attend ad-hoc staff meetings during the centre’s business hours. Other necessary teaching duties as required.

EDUCATION

Required: Bachelor’s Degree (Russel Group Universities Preferred)

Preferred: Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) OR Bachelor of Education (BEd) OR Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

REMUNERATION

£15.00/h to £30.00/h depending on credentials and experience. Additional compensation for business development (referrals for pupils).
