Summary of Position:

Under the direct supervision of the Supply Chain Manager – Last Mile Logistics, this position is a more senior role in Supply Chain. This position’s primary focus is managing the last mile logistics short- & long-term plan for their assigned area. This includes the planning and forecasting of trucking demand, carrier management, carrier selection, carrier optimization, analysis of data, reconciliation of billing, and understanding the total landed cost on location. This role comes with increasing levels of responsibility to be self-sufficient, within the role, while being an active team member in keeping Liberty Energy ahead of the curve

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Supply Chain or Business-related degree, or a 3-5 years logistics or high-level planning experience
  • Industry specific experience is considered an asset
  • ERP / Oracle experience considered an asset
  • Microsoft Office 365•Strong Excel and analytical skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of planning function for assigned area and oversight of 24/7 last mile distribution team plan execution. This includes performance against forecasted plan, carrier performance and cost management.
  • Provides continuous performance feedback on plan execution for continuous improvement.
  • Works closely with Proppant Planning team, this role develops the last mile logistics forecast and plan for all jobs in area of oversight. This includes truck count planning, carrier selection, execution strategy (cluster, single job, etc.), route selections & last mile cost management.
  • Works closely with Supply Chain Manager to develop a strategic carrier portfolio, rates, and agreements.
  • Responsible for executional carrier management and working with vendor setup to add new carriers.
  • Management of trucking rates and working with sales to budget accurate trucking costs for job quotes.
  • Performs KPI and analytic ing for last mile operation for area of oversight to provide to management team and carriers on a regular basis.
  • Management of logistics system job creation and corresponding transactional management.
  • Understanding and comprehension of all active jobs for assigned area and their last mile trucking method and how to adapt to changes as necessary.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate sand trucking PO creation, monitoring variability vs. actual and updating timely with changes during the job.
  • Optimizes asset moves during and between jobs to minimize costs.
  • Actively participates in market research to understand trends in our industry and how it affects Last Mile trucking costs for assigned area.
  • Focuses on innovation, streamlining and creating efficiencies.
  • Liaises with the Financial Group regarding invoice resolution.
  • Variable hour work week, but available 24/7.
  • Frequent travel expectations.

Salary:

$80000-110000/Yr

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
