Liberty Diversified International Hiring for Machine Operator at Phoenix, AZ Full Time

Salary Range: $19.00-$22.00

Shift hours: 5am-230pm

As a Machine Operator with Liberty Packaging Phoenix, you will be responsible for producing corrugated product using manufacturing equipment and machinery including set-up, operation, inspection and clean-up.

This full-time position s directly to the Production Supervisor and is located at Liberty Packaging’s manufacturing plant in Phoenix, Arizona.

Required Skills

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review order specifications using job order sheets to ensure correct print plates and raw material is available to complete the order.
• Prepare machine for operation to include adjusting settings, installing print plates, cutting dies, and ink, etc.
• Operate corrugated machinery.
• Visually inspect product for quality issues.
• Utilize measuring tools to ensure product aligns with specifications.
• Monitor output of machine and adjust settings when necessary.
• Update production records and quality records after order completion.
• Assist in cleaning and clearing machine for future orders (washing cylinders, remove scrap material, and dust collection).
• Follow all safety standards established for each machine.
• Understand safety requirements for all chemicals being used during the set-up, operation and cleanup of machinery.
• Other duties, as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• 1-2 Years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication)
• Must be able to work overtime as needed

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Prior manufacturing experience preferred
• Prior converting or corrugating industry experience highly desirable
• Basic computer skills
