The role: Working in a rapidly growing high tech company you will be responsible for shaping and implementing the end-to-end solution for the attraction, selection and onboarding of new hires taking into account our short, medium and long-term growth plans.

Bringing with you a wealth of knowledge, you are a highly experienced, credible professional with demonstrative experience in the challenges of a recruiting role, preferably in the maritime/manufacturing industry, having previous experience of formulating and delivering pro-active, innovative strategies to recruit, select and on board a continual pipeline of talent.

You will have a proven record of delivering exceptional resourcing capabilities in a fast-paced environment to challenging deadlines in a niche industry market.

Key responsibilities will involve, but not be limited to:

• Identify, design and deliver appropriate attraction, selection and onboarding strategies and solutions to support our business strategy with a primary focus on delivering resource.
• Develop, refine and oversee the recruitment strategy and processes to ensure an excellent candidate experience to build and secure a strong diverse talent pipeline.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide direction and consultation on emerging trends and best practices that influence acquisition and attraction of key talent.
• Overhaul and review opportunities to improve and strengthen our attraction methods, including collaborating with key stakeholders on our employer branding, website presence, social media channels, advertising campaigns and events to promote our opportunities.

• Collaborate with our Directors and HRBP to analyse our workforce plan and recommend actions, balancing strategic growth with short-term business demands.

Recruitment and offer administration:

• Review recruitment materials to ensure they are fit for purpose.
• Design and write attractive and engaging advertisement copy.
• Use innovative and cost effective ways to advertise vacancies via external channels and assess various recruitment methods and select the most appropriate.
• Upload job adverts to various job boards and media, collate and review applications and forward pre-qualified suitable candidates to hiring managers.
• Actively source passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, CV database, TA sourcing team and other provided tools.
• Liaise with hiring managers to ensure all shortlisting is conducted in promptly and co-ordinate interviews in line with hiring manger availability.
• Ensure all contractual documentation is current and captures any new employment legislation.
• Issue contractual documentation and undertake all pre-employment checks in a timely manner.
• Liaise with successful candidates to ensure signed contractual documentation is supplied in a timely manner.
• Actively manage all candidates to ensure timely and constructive feedback is provided at each stage of the process to ensure they receive a positive experience with L3Harris ASV.
• Collate and store all interview notes and feedback.
• Respond to all recruitment enquiries in a polite and efficient manner.
• Work with PeopleFluent and HR systems to ensure all actions and data are updated on a daily basis for each applicant through to hire date.

Skills and experience:

• A solid understanding and experience of the recruitment lifecycle in either an In-house or a recruitment agency role.
• Demonstrable experience and in depth knowledge of the challenges of niche recruitment where there is competition for talent, preferably in the marine industry.
• Detailed knowledge and recent experience of recruitment strategies, methodologies and execution.
• Proven recent experience of applying originality and using initiative to find solutions to recruitment challenges that effectively balance appropriate judgement with best practice.
• Recent creative and digital recruitment experience and ability to write attractive recruitment copy.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and build effective, open and honest relationships.
• Direct sourcing experience, including job boards and LinkedIn Recruiter.
• A collaborative and flexible approach with evidence of looking for solutions rather than problems.
• Proven organisational and recruitment administrative skills with demonstrable success in managing a variety of tasks and/or activities whilst maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
• Exposure to Applicant Tracking Systems, in particular, PeopleFluent.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, ideally up to intermediate level.
• Self-motivated, confident and enthusiastic, with a friendly attitude and a passion for providing excellent customer service.
• The ability to fulfil the travel requirements of the role.

Qualifications and educational requirement:

• Educated to GCSE level A – C to include English and maths (or equivalent).
• Proven ability to develop a pro-active, sustained recruitment strategy for technical engineering roles.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully recruiting technical roles.
• Passion for recruiting high quality talent.
• A background in HR/recruitment would be preferable but could be balanced with relevant experience.
