L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Finance/Billing Analyst to support our Australia-based Managed Services program. This role will be responsible for the preparation of L3Harris billing invoices and cash collection for submissions, accounts receivable collections and analysis, and financial reconciliations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Finance Billing Analyst position will report to the Project Finance Lead and work closely with the Sub Contract Managers to ensure accuracy of invoices. The position requires the successful candidate to be deadline driven, able to work in a fast-paced environment, organized and detail oriented. Tasks will include:

• Manage billing process;
• Ensure prompt cash collection;
• Prepare and review monthly invoices according to company guidelines utilizing financial reports to ensure compliance with deliverable deadlines;
• Submit invoices to the ENMP Customer based on delivery method stipulated on contract; including 3rd party systems;

• Assist in Preparation of weekly and/or monthly schedules for financial reporting in accordance with management and statutory requirements.
  • (weekly) Provide a summary of orders secured and invoice collections
  • (monthly) Provide forecasts of Orders, Sales, Operating Income, and Investment (Unbilled, Inventory, AR) for each quarter during the current fiscal year (and beyond, as required). Prepare variance explanations as required.
  • (monthly), provide/update a list of milestones with anticipated billing dates
  • Coordinate with L3Harris Payroll, Tax and Treasury departments as required.
  • Assist in control activities such as Banking, Billing, Payroll, R&D tax credits, taxation, costing and expense control, external and internal audits.
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable.
  • Process a high volume of invoices monthly.
  • Other relevant duties as directed.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with a minimum of 6 years’ experience; OR, Graduate Degree Degree and a minimum of 4 years’ experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in processing and validating project type (Time& Material (T&M), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), and Cost-plus (CP)) invoices;
  • 4+ years of experience with an ERP system
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel);

• (monthly) Provide detailed forecasts of the Balance Sheet and Expenses, with variance explanations as required
• Analyze unbilled receivables monthly against standard reports, research and resolve a variety of internal and external customer inquiries concerning billing status;
• Initiate communications with internal customers to resolve billing discrepancies and collection issues;

• Actively manage aged receivable risk situations to maximize collections and minimize write-offs; and

• Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) qualification
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills;
• Motivated self-starter;
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities;
• Team player with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment;
• Must be deadline driven, organized and detail oriented; and
• Experience working on a Managed Services Telecommunications Contract.

The candidate must be able to undergo and obtain Australian Defence security clearance to NV1.
