We have an opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Team of five professionals in Brighton. This is an entry level role that would suit someone with the grounding in accounting seeking experience to start their career.

At L3Harris in Brighton we are part of Release Systems and the Mission Avionics sector operating in the Aerospace domain. We specialising in high performance electro-mechanical systems and pneumatic technology for airborne weapon carriage release.

We can offer hybrid office and home working.

What the role will involve

If you’re invited to join our team of dedicated experts, the responsibilities of your role will include the following:

• Processing supplier invoices through the bought ledger (customised ERP system)
• Checking and resolving any discrepancies to purchase orders, goods received, etc.
• Data entry of invoices, invoice matching and preparation for month-end payments
• Reconcile bought ledger records to supplier statements

• Cashiering; processing online payments and updating manual cashbooks
• Prepare weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
• General accounts duties

What you’ll bring

The role of Accounts Assistant requires the following experience and skills:

• A previous qualification or interest in an Accounting
• Basic understanding of bank reconciliation
• Basic understanding of invoice matching
• Proficient organisation skills
• Mathematically literate
