LGC Biosearch Technology Hiring for CMC Lab Support Technician I / II – Biotech – Entry Level Full Time

The Therapeutic group at LGC synthesizes, tests and releases oligonucleotides for toxicology and early phase human clinical trials. The Laboratory Technician position will be an integral part for daily operations in the CMC group to ensure functions persist smoothly. This individual will be responsible for performing CMC related oligonucleotide therapeutic activities in compliance with GMP standards, company procedures and external regulatory requirements as directed by the departmental supervisor, manager or director. The candidate will work closely with experienced group members and may interact with other LGC facilities to support GMP activities such as produce and release of GMP batches.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

• Maintains daily used system such as balances, pH probes, and temperature monitoring systems as per company procedures.
• Performs buffer preparation activities, cleans specialized glassware and ensure laboratory supplies are kept at adequate levels for daily operations.
• Maintains a clean and orderly laboratory environment in compliance with safety regulations / internal GMP SOP.
• Collaborates with other internal groups to assist in the transfer of materials and process where applicable.
• Supports execution of analytical methods and protocols for the analysis of oligonucleotides.

Qualifications:

• Experience working in a GMP environment is preferred, but not required
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as on teams
• Professional presence and strong attention to detail is required
• Technical proficiency that enables effective execution of documented procedures
• Demonstrated experience with common computer software packages (Windows, MS Office, etc.)
• Able to multi-task work in a fast paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
• High school diploma or an Associate Degree.
