Talent Acquisition Specialist
Summary:
Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, attracting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding employees. This role is also a key driver of retention and employee engagement through the promotion of the company’s brand and culture through a variety of activities and events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with location managers to focus on resource planning for their teams.
• Adherence to agreed recruitment strategies, including advertising, sourcing, candidate interviews, offer and new hire process.
• Manage a candidate care strategy during the recruitment process to include, but not be limited to frequency of contact, the information provided, and consistent quality feedback.
• Identify sources for candidate attraction such as job boards, job events, developing relationships with local schools/workforce development boards, database utilization, talent pooling, social media, headhunting and networking.
• Manage recruitment process from end to end.
• Contribute to an excellent candidate experience for all applicants.
• Maintain an evolving list of job requisitions.
• Partnering with internal hiring managers to coordinate interviews, make final selection of candidate, presenting offer and on-boarding plans.
• Conduct reference checks on final candidates.
• Draft and issue offer letters to candidates.
• Own the employee on-boarding process for all new hires through coordination with location hiring manager and/or onboarding specialist.
• Conduct in depth analysis on the selection process and use the insights to make improvements.
• Consult on recruitment, performance improvement, promotions, talent mobility, Employee Relations, and termination discussions.
• Develops employee communication strategies such as internal news announcements, newsletters, emails, leadership interaction and other opportunities to help keep employees informed and engaged.
• Organizes company events designed to contribute to positive employee experiences.
• Develops overall companywide engagement strategy and ensures compliance by local site leadership.
• Assist with other HR activities and duties as defined by the Director of Human Resources.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Advanced MS Office skills, specifically in Excel (formulas, functions, pivot tables, etc.) and PowerPoint.
• Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
• Ability to multi-task in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Sociable, confident, articulate, driven and very organized with candidates and internal customers.
• Exceptional detail orientation and organization skills (with strong sense of urgency and follow through).
• Strong, clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; or 2+ years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Prior experience in recruitment and talent acquisition.
• Prior experience onboarding new hires.
• Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).

• Excellent communicator with great presentation skills.
