The Software Engineering Manager manages and oversees the design and development of technical software initiatives. The role is responsible for leading all aspects of software development, including DevOps. This person is comfortable managing large teams of solutions architects, Technical Leads and Software Engineers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the efficient running of projects, including providing supervision and guidance to Solutions Architects, Tech Leads, Senior front and backend engineers.
• Technical Solutioning of the customer facing Service Delivery Platform.
• Implement applications using microservices architecture.
• Leading DevOps initiatives.
• Lead technical Scrum ceremonies.
• Mentor team members.
• Manage SDLC process.
• Address technical roadblocks.
• Review technical documentation and ensure documentation can be used for support purposes.

Required Technical Expertise: (You do not have to have experience with the entire tech stack below. However, having a fullstack Java background is key to the role.)

• Fullstack development background with Java on the backend.
• Java 7+ years of experience
• Spring Framework (Boot, Security)
• Hibernate (JPA)
• SQL
• REST
• Angular
• JavaScript, TypeScript
• D3.js, and Three.js (WebGL) will be plus
• Okta knowledge will be a plus
• Scala will be a plus
• Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence is a plus.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 or more years of Backend Software Engineering experience with hands on experience in software architecture and software engineering
• 5 years of experience working with container orchestration platform using Docker Swarm or Kubernetes
• Prior experience spearheading SaaS vendor selection for key technical integrations
• Proven expertise assessing system designs implementations and coming up with recommendations irrespectively of development stack
