Lesson With You (“LWY”) is the leading US provider of live, online private music lessons. With over 41 teachers covering 16 instruments and vocals, we pride ourselves on providing excellent instruction and an outstanding student experience.

We are currently hiring flute instructors.

This role is currently only open to those who have a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate in Flute Performance or Flute Pedagogy.

Duties

Flute instructors can expect to teach both recurring lessons and trial lessons until the instructor reaches scheduling capacity. LWY offers 30, 45 and 60 minute flute lessons and our clientele ranges from beginner to advanced, elementary-aged students to retirees. Qualified candidates should be comfortable teaching all levels and should have a variety of industry-standard teaching materials on hand.

Administrative duties are minimal, as LWY employs staff to handle trial scheduling and billing. Instructors are required to submit weekly lesson summary for payroll verification.

Scheduling

LWY is currently experiencing a large volume of flute lesson inquiries. Each new student is eligible for a complimentary thirty minute lesson — with the majority of prospects electing to continue with weekly recurring lessons.

LWY is eager to hire talented, enthusiastic and thoughtful instructors and, as such, will work to accommodate successful candidates who have additional conflicts, such as graduate work or additional part-time employment. However, we do look for consistent availability in order for students to be able to regularly attend lessons at a consistent time each week.

Requirements

Qualified candidates must have a high quality microphone, webcam, and computer. Applicants will verify these items during the interview process.

Candidates should be prepared to provide a video recording that showcases their music performance level. Priority will be given to candidates who provide a professional-quality recording.

Compensation

The weekly pay is as follows:

$23 USD per hour: Bachelor’s Degree in Flute Performance

$26 USD per hour: Master’s Degree in Flute Performance

$30 USD per hour: Doctorate in Flute Performance and/or Pedagogy
