Lehua Group Hiring for Cost Accountant – CANNABIS Job at King City, CA Full Time

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintain the cost accounting system (Backbone Supply Chain) including the management of batch records and bills of materials.

• Proactively analyze and recommend daily improvements and cost savings.

• Analyze any changes in goods or services provided in order to determine what effect it has on the cost.

• Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.

• Make estimates of new and proposed product costs.

• Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products or services.

• Assist in audits and general ledger preparation.

• Conduct physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program and the preparation of batch sheets.

• A small growing company so, in addition, to cost accounting and control this role will be actively involved in daily operational and accounting functions.

• Performing month-end/ year-end cost accounting close.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or identifiable relevant cost accounting experience.

• 5 years of Cost Accounting work experience (essential).

• Sound understanding of accounting principles.

• Solid cost systems background.

• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.

• Meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good Excel skills including V-Lookup and Pivot Tables.

• Backbone software experience would be an asset but not required.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks (preferred).

• Experience within the cannabis industry or within a PCG company (Nice to have but not required).

• Ability to understand raw material > extraction/processing/batching > packaging > testing > finished good > distribution cycles and related accounting impacts (Nice to have but not required).

• Must be 21 years of age and able to pass a Criminal Background Check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
