Lehigh Hanson is seeking a Field Service Representative for our Ready Mix Concrete businesses in the Greater Victoria area. The key responsibility for this position is to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of concrete to our customers and to support our operations supervisors that directly supervise our production workforce that includes Ready Mix Concrete Drivers, Loader Operators, Concrete Plant Operators, etc.
What you’ll get to do
Ensure the safe and efficient delivery of concrete to Lehigh Hanson’s customers.
Assist with the supervision of workforce and concrete plant sites.
Liaise with customers during pre-pour meetings, high volume pours and make sure concrete trucks are routed efficiently.
Safety – Promote and support Lehigh Hanson’s safety programs.
Assist Quality Control Department with compliance and oversight on project sites.
Environment – Ensure environmental standards are met and support as required.
Establish good working relationships with on-site project managers, superintendents, foremen and work crews.
Perform other duties and assignments as required.
Essential Experience and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, High school diploma required
Commercial driver’s license an asset
ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade 1 certification or CCIL Concrete Certification
3 to 5 years of ready mix concrete industry experience an asset
Must be available to work shifts
Must have excellent computer skills, report writing and system functionality
Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
Sharp critical thinking and analytical skills
Highly dependable, ability to work in a fast paced environment
Work Environment:
Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
