EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Coordinate applicant requests for information with appropriate college resources (application, financial aid, placement testing, course planner and orientation.).Respond to emails and phone calls, and enter student data into the CRM – TargetX.Develop a list of student applicants in the restrictive programs and track/monitor program’s admissions requirementsDevelop a list of applicants that need to complete course planner, and monitor/track/contact applicants that need to complete course planner and sign up for orientation. Serve as liaison between applicant and faculty to provide up-to-date information sheets on programs of study.Organize and update information on the college website as directed.Assist in ordering and distributing office supplies for the admissions operation as needed.Regularly check and refill in house admissions publications from word processing, duplicating or other department; organizes and distributes as needed. Compile Admissions View Book and disseminate to other sites.Develop an Admissions Work Study Guideline that will be reviewed and revised once a year. Train Work Study students on duties of Admissions Front Reception and customer service. Work study students will also serve as campus tour guides. Work occasional night and Saturday events as requested. Serve as initial contact and provide prospective students information on any new programs and provides documentation for them.Perform other duties as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent.Foreign degrees – must provide a US equivalency report of your degree credentials with your transcript, if not, your resume will not be accepted. CertificationsAct 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Clearance Fingerprinting) Work Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience working in an office setting.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Excellent personal, telephone, computer, written and oral communication skills needed. Must be person-oriented, well-organized, responsible, hard working, and flexible. Must have the ability to plan work and establish priorities, and to work independently. Must have an understanding and commitment to education and the role of the community college mission.Must possess a high level of the following work skills and behaviors teamwork/cooperation; initiative, customer services, and commitment to continuous professional growth in skills and knowledge.Preferred: Associate’s degree from an accredited institution.Bilingual (Spanish or Arabic)Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
