LEGO Hiring for Finance Director Job at London, England Full Time

We’re looking for a Finance Director of Financial Planning and Performance to join our LEGO Retail Finance team and play a critical leadership role in enabling us to deliver the Retail Strategy and its financial objectives.

In this role you will inspire change and transformation in relation to finance.

Core responsibilities:

• Leading all Annual Strategic & Financial Planning Processes for LEGO Retail Finance (in collaboration with the Strategy Team)
• Supporting Delivery of LEGO Retail Strategy: You will work closely with the LRLT, the Markets and Channels (M&C) Finance team, the M&C strategy team to ensure the short-term plans synchronise optimally with the longer-term strategy
• Performance Management: lead across the business to coordinate and align the various functional plans, prioritising initiatives and resources and lead progress against key programmes and projects within the business
• Governance & Control: Developing, supervising and presenting critical business performance indicators; identifying risks and driving corrective action to deliver business targets
• Change programmes in Finance: build frameworks or new processes to tackle business problems and support the profitable growth and scalability of LEGO Retail
• Finance leadership: play an instrumental role within the leadership team
• People Leader: responsible for leading and developing a team

The LEGO Retail is a market group covering Direct-to-Consumer channels, including own operated stores and of the LEGO.com website, Retail Development and Model Production. Our team provides the financial mentorship for LEGO Retail and is enabling a balanced and scalable growth for the business.
As finance director you will be responsible for owning the long term and annual planning and performance management processes across LEGO Retail. You will be working closely with all areas of the business, ensuring seamless alignment to the longer-term strategic plan
You will supervise and control the company’s retail financial performance, including forecasting, benefits realisation and project / programme spend. You will ensure financial controls, processes and systems are in place to achieve standard methodology corporate governance.

Do you have what it takes?

• A qualified accountant with confirmed depth of experience and exceptional financial competence
• Strong experience in strategy development, business planning and execution, setting important metrics and Performance Reporting
• Proven experience across Financial Control, FP&A and Financial governance processes
• Experience in stakeholder engagement, building relationships, influencing, and negotiating at all levels, in an exciting and dynamic environment
• Skilled at analysing, communicating and presenting key messages and storylines succinctly into the LRLT and the wider Company
• Skilled at creatively solving business problems to establish frameworks for supporting solutions, a track record of implementing/leading successful change programmes in finance
• Excellent at developing robust business & financial models allowing to forecast and translate strategic priorities into financials;
• Experience in Retail’s best practice would be an advantage
