Legend College Preparatory(LCP), a San Francisco Bay Area online high school, is hiring a part-time online English teacher. Ideal candidates should have strong domain knowledge, feel comfortable using technologies in virtual environments, demonstrate a passion to inspire and teach students . Our school believes that learning should be dynamic and student-centered. The goal for all learnings is for students to walk away with a sense of accomplishment, a love for more learning, and resilience in dealing with challenges. LCP maintains a high standard for instructions and looks to prepare all students early for college-level studies and to be career-ready.

Candidates must be able to teach in an online environment using LCP’s learning management system, demonstrate strong knowledge in high school English, and pass mandatory background check.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Classroom instruction
• Monitoring Student Progress
• Maintain student and parent contact regarding coursework and progress
• Grading and record-keeping
• Curriculum management/implementation
• Ad Hoc Duties (Online course fairs, seminars, recommendation letters, etc.)

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in English or related subject area
• Three years’ teaching experience
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and administrative skills
• Comfortable mentoring students and working with parents
• Passion for education
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable with technology and online management systems

• Seeking long-term teaching status

Compensation :

$20-$30 per hour based on experience

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
