The Opportunity*

We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our high performing Finance team on a permanent basis. The focus of this role will be dealing with day to day bookkeeping including trust accounting and compliance, payroll for different jurisdictions, fixed asset register maintenance, cash flow management, accounts payable, balance sheet reconciliations, invoicing, debt collection, and bank account reconciliations.

You will need to have an exemplary phone manner and great email drafting skills to be able to communicate clearly and concisely with a huge variety of internal and external clients. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively determine priorities, work under pressure, and manage a range of different tasks concurrently.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experienced: You will have at least some experience in a general accounting role, ideally in a professional services environment.
• Qualifications: You hold a CIV in Bookkeeping from a reputable institution.
• A natural communicator: Able to effectively and clearly communicate with clients both by email and on the phone.
• Team player: Willingness to actively contribute and assist other members in the team when needed.
• Cool and calm under pressure: The ability to effectively manage competing priorities and to respond calmly and professionally when faced with difficult situations.
• Tech savvy: You will be using our innovative in-house technology as well as market leading software to process a large variety of transactions. We use Google Sheets on a daily basis so any expertise in that will be highly regarded.
• Precise and careful: Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are vital.
• Proactive: Able to identify issues or opportunities to make improvements and run with them.
