Legal & General are delighted to be supporting theidol.com in their search for a software trainer to join their team with remote or flexible home/office working supported. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on exciting, innovative projects for an award winning FinTech business which is part of the Legal & General Group.
As a software tester, working under the direction of our Test Manager, you will work within a team of other talented people testing innovative and challenging solutions as part of an agile squad.
What you’ll be doing
- Producing, maintaining and improving testing plans and test cases
- Analysing test output and producing test reports
- Testing the solutions delivered by the development team for accessibility, usability and inclusion
- Identifying, reporting and tracking the resolution of defects
- Communicating testing methodologies and strategy to the wider team
What we’re looking for
- Attention to detail – to identify issues and bugs, including those that aren’t quite so obvious
- Analytical skills – to collect information, categorise data, review results to identify patterns and trends
- STQB (or similar) certification or progress towards a recognised qualification in software testing would be beneficial.
- Experience of working with test automation tools.
- Experience of markup and programming languages such as JavaScript/Node.js, HTML & CSS.
- Ability to work with medium to large volumes of data, performing calculations and formatting the data for various systems.
- Experience with Agile project delivery methodologies.
- An eagerness to learn and adapt to new practices and tools.
- Documentation, analysis and reporting
- Ability to manage test scripts through tools such as Git or SVN
