Summary:

The purpose of the Financial Analyst to work closely with the organizations financial leadership team and support cross functional areas with respect to data collection, analysis, and reporting. The position will report directly to the Director of FP&A. Work collaboratively with various departmental stakeholders to reveal business improvement opportunities, optimize and highlight risk and opportunities via metrics.

You will assist in developing bottoms-up budgets based on assumptions that are unique to each cost center and department, assisting and participating in the budget and forecasting process. Role will assist in performing monthly forecasting and explaining variances to plan.

You will assist in establishing controls, prepare cash forecasts, maintain standard costing, and help prepare financial variance & analysis reports. Including the dashboard, flash report and monthly reporting package.

The right person for this role is a result driven, highly energetic, team-player, with solid analytical skills with a solid foundation in manufacturing, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, standard costing, and controls.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analyses.
• Support finance leadership in preparing the company’s annual budget, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Assist in the development of financial forecasting models and analyses.
• Own the monthly roll forward of annual budget vs. actuals vs. forecasts and prepare financial reporting that supports both internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in the development of capital expenditure justification, approval, and ROI.
• Track individual project and total capital spend vs approved budget plan and cash requirement timing.
• Assist with the continued development of budgeting, forecasting, dashboard metrics, financial models, reporting, analyses, and decision-making tools needed to support strategic initiatives and the business.
• Perform trend analysis and variance analysis on all key performance indicators, revenue, cost of goods sold, expenses and Capex.
• Learn all aspects of the Legacy Cabinet business by staying current on any/all initiatives,
• Develop an understanding of the key metrics and the sensitivity of their impact on EBITDA.
• Aggregate disparate forms of data, improve the data accuracy and provide structured formatting to enable business actions.
• Work closely with operations and accounting to improve operating reporting and data collection accuracy.
• Improve data analytics to enable better business efficiencies and decision making.
• Support Senior Management Team and Departments heads with Ad-hoc Project Reports and Analysis as required.

· Assist in the preparation of presentations for Board of Directors and Senior Management Team.

• Participate on ERP conversion team and support in the direction of systems upgrades and toward the implementation of an upgraded system.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in an analytical and data-driven role such as financial analysis, accounting, and/or finance working in support of a manufacturing plant(s).
• BS in Accounting or Finance. MBA and/or CMA preferred but not mandatory
• Solid analytical, problem solving and financial modeling skills.
• Ability to process and analyze high volumes of information and prepare meaningful management reports/summaries.
• Effective communication skills both written and oral with an ability to work across departmental lines.
• Detail oriented and accuracy with a high commitment to delivering work on time.
• A strong desire to learn the comprehensive business.
• Expert proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency with MS Access helpful, but not required.
