Legacy Academy Hiring for Elementary Teacher at Elizabeth, CO Full Time

Legacy Academy is a tuition-free, K-8 charter school serving families from several communities in Elbert and Douglas counties. We are a 1:1 iPad school, meaning that every student and staff member has an iPad Air to use during the school year. Each of our classrooms has access to current technology and the staff is continually searching for new and innovative approaches to education. Legacy has a technology focus and is looking for individuals to join our innovative team. We are currently seeking an Elementary Teacher. This teacher needs to be proficient in their content area(s), willing to maintain and enrich their expertise, as well as possess a strong desire to integrate technology in the classroom.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to work with an innovative online and interactive curriculum.

• Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences and creative projects.

• Maintains effective and efficient record-keeping procedures.

• Provide a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process.

• Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.

• Collaborates effectively with peers to enhance the instructional environment.

• Models professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and the community.

• Provide direct and indirect instruction.

• Maintain the privacy of student records and information.

Job Qualifications:

Meet highly qualified status and hold a valid Colorado teaching certificate.

Would be willing to help implement and develop an instrumental (and/or vocal) music program.

Salary: $$30K-$40K yearly. Based on experience and qualifications.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $42,000.00 – $46,000.00 per year
