Learn Tree is an after school club provider, providing academic enrichment for children in Reception to Y6.

Location: Surbiton New Life Baptist Church, Langley road in Surbiton, Kingston upon-Thames.

Flexible Hours between work: 4pm and 6pm;

Flexible Working days: Mon/Tue/ Wed; Term time only.

We are looking to hire passionate individuals who want to see children enjoy learning and become confident life-long learners.

The role will involve;

• leading games and activities designed to improve numeracy and literacy in children of primary school age. The candidate will have the opportunity to design these games or follow those planned by the programme director or others in the team.

• Guiding a group of six to eight children of mixed ability in their learning; using pre-designed worksheets, reading with them and noting their progress in reading, helping them solve maths questions etc. Encouraging the development of key soft skills such as resilience, risk-taking, perseverance, independent learning and so on. This role allows the candidate to try out new ideas to aid children’s learning with a focus on enjoyment and developing the confidence to continue learning independently.

Part-time hours: up to 6hrs per week
