The Role
Reporting to the Director of Skills you will be responsible for setting up and managing LCGs remote delivery of Access to HE on our inhouse learning platform. You will have excellent knowledge of Access to HE provision with proven track record of delivering outstanding teaching, learning and support to learners. You will work closely with all stakeholders including the curriculum services and quality teams to establish the new team and all processes involved. You will lead a team of delivery and support staff and be able to organise and prioritise workloads with a keen attention to detail and excellent analytical skills. You must have excellent communication skills and be self-motivated with a can-do attitude and good time management, being able to deliver to deadlines.

Main purpose of the post:

• To take the lead in programme development and delivery
• To organise, structure and manage the learners’ learning experience and quality of provision

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Lead the planning and delivery of the curriculum, working closely with the management and curriculum services team
• Organise, structure and manage learners’ learning experience
• Lead self-assessment, the identification of actions for improvement and the implementation of development plans
• Ensure learners enrolling onto A2HE programmes are provided with robust initial advice and guidance ensuring learners enrolled are suitable for the course and delivery model
• Assess pre-course questionnaires/interview potential learners to determine course suitability
• Lead on the UCAS application timeline and ensure tutors are able to provide advice and guidance to learners throughout their programme regarding the UCAS application process
• Establish processes and tracking systems to monitor UCAS applications and provide key statistical reports and data
• Provide support to tutors in delivering A2HE in ensuring robust IAG is given to learners throughout the programme including careers guidance
• Manage a team of tutors to ensure assessments are carried out with robust feedback confirming assessment decision in accordance with the Awarding Body requirements
• Ensure timely achievements are met, including retention and achievement targets by implementing strategies and supporting learners
• Provide weekly analysis and feedback to Director of Skills
• Lead standardisation meetings with Quality Manager ensuring attendance from all tutors
• Maintain strong links with team members, ensuring all activity is complementary and utilises existing knowledge, expertise, resources and industry business links within our organisation
• Manage own continued professional development through undertaking relevant training and sharing best practice
• To undertake any necessary Data Protection responsibilities and duties as required by the post
• Undertake any training relevant to the efficient execution of any of the above duties, and to take responsibility for your own personal development
• Promote embedding of English and maths (following SPAG guidance), E&D, Safeguarding, British Values, Prevent through feedback

Essential Criteria

• Experience of delivering Access to HE provision
• Experience of leading a team
• Organised and efficient
• At least 3 years teaching/training in relevant area(s)
• Good knowledge of EIF
• An appropriate academic or professional qualification in the vocational area
• A teaching qualification
• D32,33 or 34 or A1 and / or V1 or appropriate TAQA
