Leadhigh Edu Hiring for Online k-8 History Teacher Job at Remote Full Time

LeadHigh Edu is an innovative education startup that provides virtual learning. Learn anywhere, anytime. A class has a group of approximately 4 – 8 students, of the same or similar grade level, who are learning, growing, and socializing together. We provide a personalized online lesson for each grade.

Our mission is to create a free access learning environment that allows students to see themselves reflected in all aspects of course content. We deliver, create course content to students’ unique circumstances and learning needs.

LeadHigh Edu is seeking an online Middle/High School History teacher through the integration of highly effective instructional design methods and research-based best practices. We’re looking for a dedicated professional who wants to provide students with an exemplary education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Writing or related field; advanced degree in subject matter and/or native language speaking experience highly desired
• At least three years of full-time teaching experience, preferably with at least three months of full-time remote teaching experience
• Ability to plan, organize, develop, and conduct comprehensive lesson plans and instructions
• Demonstrated knowledge in teaching principles, theories, methods, behavior management techniques, and conflict resolution strategies
• Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills

Responsibilities:

• Create a classroom environment that develops in each student’s awareness and appreciation for the richness of tradition and culture through the study of literature, current events, and primary sources
• Prepare and deliver lessons to students on topics outlined in the curriculum
• Evaluate and grade students’ class work, performance and assignments
• Design an appropriate curriculum with an assigned course and grade level
• Follow curriculum pacing guides aligned to lesson plans rooted in well-defined standards, instructional design methods, and research-based best practices

• Deliver simultaneous in-person and remote classes using live video conferencing via Zoom
• Manage virtual coursework through Google Classroom
• Issue trimester progress reports and trimester report cards
• Develop and maintain student behavioral and discipline policies

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 – $45.00 per hour
