SCHEDULE:

• Full time hours Monday to Friday
• On call with weekend availability for special events coverage

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

We’re seeking someone who creates content that exudes positivity, friendliness, and warmth to our audience. Candidates who are invited to interview should come prepared by having reviewed all the firm’s business social media pages and profiles and bring to the interview ideas and recommendations on how we can enhance and drive our business. This is a requirement of your interview. If you do not come prepared with knowledge of the brand the interview will be concluded.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST

• Create and manage our social media strategy and execute campaigns to support our firm’s growth goals
• Post and engage with followers and commenters on behalf of the firm and various organizations that collaborate with our firm online
• Plan and maintain weekly editorial calendars for the firm’s postings
• Conceptualize, create, and manage content that educates and entertains when posting about our involvement in the community, accomplishments, activities, and events
• Handle replies to direct messages, comments, and shares
• Monitor competitor social media activities, news events that may affect our clients, and social media platform developments
• Share best-practice knowledge with other team members on using social media to promote and protect our practice
• Keep up to date and comply with our state bar’s guidelines on social media use by law firms

• Proficient with post scheduling and tracking tools like Hootsuite and Buffer
• Up to speed on pop culture, major news, and trending topics
• Strong interpersonal, presentation and verbal communication skills
• Excellent written communication skills (you’ll be asked to submit writing samples and to take a writing and editing assessment)
• Great time and project management skills with ability to manage several competing priorities without dropping a ball

SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s (Preferred)
• Law firm background/experience helpful but not required
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Social Media Coordinator or similar role

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Manual dexterity, physical mobility, and some physical strength/stamina.
