Laura George Consulting, LLC Hiring for ACT/SAT English Reading ELA Verbal Tutor Teacher Part-Time Via Zoom at Remote Full Time

Seeking dynamic candidates with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with teenagers to join our small boutique firm, which provides one-on-one ACT and SAT tutoring. We are specifically searching for an English (Writing & Literature) and Reading tutor to join our small team of experts and work remotely with students via Zoom.

We are not a typical chain tutoring firm – we offer a high level of support to families and students throughout the test prep, college search, and college application process. Successful applicants do not have to come from a tutoring or teaching background (although that is a plus!). We typically hire professionals who have education and backgrounds in related fields and then train them using our materials and protocols as well as via shadowing of our experienced tutors. For example, English/Reading tutors may have a background in publishing, law, or other fields that require a strong grasp of language usage.

Bachelor’s degree is required. Masters or higher level degree is a significant plus. Teaching or mentoring experience highly valued. This is a permanent part-time position with hourly compensation based on education and experience. Will train candidate using company ACT and SAT protocols and course materials and via shadowing with experienced tutors. One year minimum commitment strongly preferred.

We offer FLEXIBILIITY and SUPPORT! You have the ability to set your own schedule and number of hours available for tutoring each week, and many of our tutors work a few weekday evening and/or weekend days in addition to their full-time jobs. We also offer significant support to our tutors in terms of training, and our Parent Liaisons manage scheduling and interacting directly with parents on a tutor’s behalf.
