Assistant Accountant

Latrobe Regional Hospital have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Assistant Accountant to join the Finance team.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role provides technical accounting support to the finance team to assist in the delivery of quality service.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain and accurate General Ledger and produce timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Support the preparation and delivery of monthly operating costs and reporting to the business
• Analyse financial data and monitor KPI’s
• Assisting the manager to prepare consolidated analytics, insights, gap analysis and commentary for management reporting to support the delivery of business targets and initiatives
• Provide financial solutions and other adhoc tasks required by the Finance Manager

The successful candidate will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Accounting preferred
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• FMIS Oracle and Powerbudget experience preferred
• High competency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and moderate competency with MS Word, and other MS Office programs
• Accurate computer data entry skills
