The Role

Are you an expert recruiter? We’re searching for a Talent Acquisition Advisor. In this role you will lead a recruitment function focused on building a proactive approach to attracting and engaging talent. Your role will impact the Council as a whole – and you’ll work knowing you’re a key figure in creating positive change in our community.

Duties include:

• To coordinate the recruitment function across the organisation, including advertising, liaison with applicants, participation in interviews and related administration including contract preparation and processing of mandatory checks.
• Provide specialist recruitment advice, information and support to management and staff, with the focus to meet competitive hiring and talent retention goals and expectations.
• Continuously partner with recruiting team and senior managers to design, refine, and implement innovative recruiting strategies that attract quality and diverse talent.
• Lead a function consisting of one direct report, with a focus on efficient service delivery and continuous improvement.

You’ll need:

• Demonstrated experience in coordination of recruitment services across a diverse organisation.
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.
• Ability to liaise with staff and external inquiries with professionalism and promptness.
• Highly developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Understanding of relevant legislation guiding the recruitment process and HR in general. The ability to build relationships at all levels and work collaboratively with a spectrum of stakeholders
• Successful applicants will be required to apply for and satisfactorily obtain a National Police Check and Working With Children’s Check.
