If yes, we are currently seeking an experienced Canadian (multi-site) Environmental, Health and Safety Program Leader. We are the Canadian arm of a multi-national, publicly traded company, Latham, the Pool Company. In Canada , we are 250+ employees with future growth guaranteed! The successful incumbent will be responsible for the implementation of the Latham, The Pool Company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program at the regional level, supporting 4 facilities, a dispersed sales force, and any new facility developments. This position serves as a member of the leadership team and requires a strong cross-functional partnership with operations and human resources. This position requires knowledge of all applicable EHS regulations, safe work practices, and environmental recordkeeping. The person in this position must have good communication, training, and leadership skills with the ability to interact successfully with all levels of the organization. This positions acts as a key driver for business initiatives and will support development of the larger Latham EHS program. This position holds responsibility and shared accountability EHS KPI performance.
Salary is dependent on experience and will be negotiated with the successful candidate. This position is also part of the Latham Management by Objectives bonus program, Tier 4.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinate with site teams to implement the Latham, The Pool Company’s EHS Program and respective policies.
Provide EHS training to all site personnel.
Act as local expert on EHS requirements, providing guidance and working closely with site leadership team.
Provide input to Latham wide EHS strategy and program for Canadian Region.
Ensure compliance with company policy, regulatory permits, and regulations at local, county, state, province and national levels.
Qualifications:
1. BS in Safety/ Science/Engineering and 5 years EHS experience. Manufacturing and/or chemical industry experience preferred.
2. Experience and proven track managing EHS in Ontario or Quebec.
3. Familiarity with Ontario and Quebec environmental and safety requirements. Advanced knowledge of regulations related to all products lines and manufacturing processes and requirements at the local, county, state, province and national levels
4. Experience with the following preferred: Ontario Fire Code, Hazardous Products Acts & WHMIS, Ontario Environmental Protection Act, E2 regulations, O. Reg 1/17 Assessment of Air Emissions, O. Reg 419/05 local air quality, O. Reg 347-General Waste Management, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, E2 Regulations, NPRI Reporting, GHG Emission Reporting, Respiratory Protection Program, Best Management Practices Plan for Odour (BMPP), Secondary Noise Screening Assessment Report (Noise Report), Emission Summary and Dispersion Modelling Report (ESDM), Odour Control Report (OCR), Water discharge permit, O.Reg-102/94-Waste Audit and Waste Reduction Work plans
5. Certifications (Level 1 and 2 JHSC, CRSP, EP) preferred.
6. Familiarity with Mobile Crane Safety and Powered Industrial Truck safety.
8. Strong computer skills including: Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and EHS software management (Gensuite, VelocityEHS, etc.)

16. Travel requirements: Spend 3 days per week at Brantford, ON, visit Ajax once per week, Kingston once per month, and Terrebonne once per quarter. With COVID-19 and other safety priority projects, this may vary.
17. Fluency in French is preferred as one of our facilities is located in Quebec.
