LASC Hiring for Seeking an Experienced Online ESL Teacher for Evening Classes Job at Remote Full Time

Our accredited institution has been offering quality ESL programs to college-aged international students since 1982 with campuses in Los Angeles, Irvine, and Rowland Heights.

We are currently seeking online English instructors for our evening classes. The starting rate would be $22 per hour. Local candidates are highly preferred.

We frequently promote our high performing teachers to Head Teacher, Academic Director, Campus Manager and Director positions.

Online Teacher Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop individual lesson plans and journals that align with the school curriculum
• Create and teach live lectures by using Zoom
• Design engaging and interactive lessons for adult ESL learners
• Assign homework and projects to students via the online platform
• Administer quizzes and tests using the online platform
• Grade students’ work and provide constructive feedback
• Record attendance and grades using the school’s system
• Submit monthly / quarterly reports for private tutoring students
• Attend quarterly faculty meetings & participate in professional development
• 15 hours per week: 10 teaching hours + 5 prep time pay

Online Teacher Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in the Education field
• Teaching ESL certificates / credentials
• 2+ years ESL/EFL teaching experience (preferred)
• Virtual teaching experience required
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Computer proficiency: MS office, Zoom, Google Classroom, Cambridge LMS
• Ability to learn and navigate new online platform
