Position Summary

The Larus Technologies Data Science (DS) team is currently developing end-to-end real-time solutions for the enterprise market. The DS team also performs leading-edge research within the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Analytics. You should expect to work in a wide variety of data science problems and learn and apply new skills. This is a full-time position starting immediately.

Essential Responsibilities

As a member of the team, your responsibilities include:

· Design and implement scalable, distributed AI/ML-based systems

· Design, development, integration and testing of AI/ML models

· Advocate high quality and best-practices in software design and development

· Close interaction with other team members on system integration and validation

· Perform data analysis, visualization and modeling with large datasets

· Perform data acquisition, cleaning, and transformation

· Meeting sprint goals with the team and releasing deliverables to stakeholders and customers

Required Skills

· Modeling and Simulation (e.g. R, Python)

· Big Data Technologies (e.g., NoSQL, Cloud Computing, Distributed Systems)

· Big Data Frameworks (Spark, Hadoop, MongoDB)

· Machine Learning and Data Mining

· AI/ML Packages (e.g. Tensorflow, Keras, Scikit-learn, PyTorch)

· Data fusion/intelligent systems/decision support systems

· Java/C#/C++ software development

· Trend analysis and/or predictive modeling

· Data collection, analysis and reporting

Desired Characteristics

· Ability to meet hard deadlines, plan and prioritize own work

Education/Experience

· University graduate degree in Computer/Software Engineering or Computer Science (M.A.Sc. or Ph.D.)

· 2+ years of direct experience in design, development, deployment, and verification of AI/ML models in production pipelines
