Senior Accountant

Large Global Company based in San Antonio is adding to the team due to growth. This is a non-routine role that allows you to make an impact!

This Senior Accountant will be a problem solver and a strategic partner with the business. This is an opportunity to improve processes, work on projects, be heavily involved in month end close and more.

Primary Duties

• Participate in all aspects of the daily, monthly, and annual accounting duties
• Participate in month end close – including balance sheet account reconciliations, journal entries, and income statement analysis.
• Maintain fixed asset sub-ledger accounting including reconciliations and analysis
• Prepare the rolling forecast, with updates during the year
• Prepare analysis for proposed capital expenditures
• Work with Controller on Financial Reporting Guide, policies, etc.
• Provide support in the control documentation process
• Review and analyze the current process and identify areas for improvement
• Assist management with the drafting of controls and procedures to support proposed solutions
• Assist accounting management with the training of new employees
• Lead accounting projects to help drive the business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Three plus years of accounting experience
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, dealing with individuals at all levels
• Capable of evaluating financial alternatives and recognize and interpret financial trends and performance
• MS Office (Excel pivot tables and VLOOKUP),
• Experience with robust ERP such as Oracle, SAP
• Experience in reporting tools such as Hyperion

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
