Lantech Hiring for Automation Engineer Full Time

Here’s a Glimpse at What you’ll Do:

As an Automation Engineer at Lantech, you will:

• Be responsible for developing and implementing automated solutions for the manufacture and testing of specified Lantech products and components.
• Drive the implementation of automated projects from conception to delivery of fully launched solutions.
• Develop technical solutions that meet the overall objectives of the project including: specification and design of equipment (i.e., robot, welder, positioners, etc.), identification of part design changes needed to facilitate automation, design and integration of fixtures within robotic cell.
• Work directly with cell operators and team leaders to address performance and quality issues with the systems.
• Implement automated production solutions for new and current products.
• Design electrical systems, writing PLC logic, and completing electrical documentation.
• Develop and implement performance verification tests to ensure product quality.
• Interface with team leaders and cell operators to resolve functional issues with automated systems.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and devises short and long-term remedies.
• Maintain knowledge of new technologies and applies where appropriate.
• Travel to vendor sites for Factory Acceptance Testing (less than 10%).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What are We Looking For? (Requirements)

We are looking for someone who:

• Has demonstrated experience with programming robotic welding applications (ABB, Fanuc, Universal Robots).
• Has demonstrated experience with industrial control systems and programming Allen-Bradley based PLCs.
• Is able to interpret engineering fabrication drawings.
• Is a hands-on individual, highly motivated, and self-starter.
• Possesses Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a cross functional team-based setting.
• Is authorized to work in the U.S.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
