About the Opportunity

As a member of the Design and Drafting Department, the draftsperson is accountable for the new development, preparation and maintenance of architectural designs and drawings.

In this role, you would be responsible for completing accurate working drawings on time; this includes preparing plans; creating new models and elevations. Preparing design sketches for clients as needed. A Draftsperson coordinates with roof, floor joist designers/suppliers to adjust grades per the plot plan provided and will submit for Architectural Approval and coordinate with the architectural agent.

The Successful Candidate will possess the following characteristics;

You are a creative and innovative thinker, a highly motivated self-starter with the proven ability to work independently as well as within a team environment. You have excellent analytical and effective problem-solving skills and take the initiative to offer solutions to improve written and verbal communication. You can set priorities effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

The Successful Candidate will have the following requirements satisfied;

• Architectural Technology Diploma or Architectural Degree is a must
• Experience working with REVIT.
• At least 5+ years of experience
• Experience working with multi-unit residential projects.
• Strong Knowledge of new home construction with an understanding of the fundamentals of residential wood frame construction practices, techniques, and conventions.
