Laidig Systems, Inc Hiring for Controls Engineer Full Time

Laidig Systems, Inc. is actively interviewing candidates for a Controls Engineer position. The Controls Engineer position will focus on engineered electrical control solutions.

Typical functions of the Controls Engineer will include but will not be limited to:

• HMI (Human Machine Interface) and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) development
• VFD specification, programming and setup
• Program development and troubleshooting
• Working with customer representatives to gain a solid understanding of their need.
• Working with supplier base to develop equipment solutions
• Interpret customer submittal packages
• Supporting field personnel

Under broad direction, the Controls Engineer will work with the Engineering team to appropriately apply state-of-the-art control logic to Laidig’s industry leading product offering in new and existing markets channels using the principles Laidig has acquired over its 60+ year history.

Laidig is looking for a positive, high energy, self-directed individual to join our growing team. An individual with two to five years of control systems engineering experience is preferred. Experience with Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs is desired. Visual Basic and/or C++ basic knowledge also preferred.

Desktop applications used will include but not be limited to the following: Microsoft Office Suite, SolidWorks, AutoCad and Visio.
