Lafayette Group Inc Hiring for Logistics Specialist at Arlington, VA, United States Full Time

LGI is seeking a Logistics Specialist to assist in the continuous development of documentation that supports the DHS FEMA Disaster Emergency Communications Division’s (DECD) multiple logistical and analytical needs for the response and recover missions.

Job Responsibilities :

• Assist DECD Logistics Management Specialist
• Develop DECD Logistics plans
• Revise and maintain DECD Vehicle Maintenance Manual
• Provide communications support to incident operations
• Develop and maintain the DECD Logistic Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
• Assist in Pre-Scripted Mission Assignment (PSMA) identification and assignment duties during actual events, planning activities, and exercises
• Assist DECD Logistics in the analytics, review, updating of logistical operational guidelines addressing changes in authority, organization, and interdepartmental relationships.

Required Qualifications :

• The ability to obtain a DHS Entry on Duty (EOD)
• 3+ years experience and a BA / BS degree
• Place of performance is in Washington, D.C. A hybrid telework options are available.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Ability to work independently and have a strong attention to detail
• Strong background in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be able to obtain Security Clearance

• Currently possess a DHS Entry on Duty (EOD) status
• Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and to think conceptually, strategically and learn quickly
• Ability to meet deadlines, adhere to project plans, and work on several projects simultaneously

Location : Washington, D.C. – must be on site at client facility 2 days a week

Federal Contracts : This position involves working on federal contracts that require all workers on the contract to be U.

S. Citizens. Additionally, some contracts may require the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Salary Range : $65,000 – $75,000
