Overview:

Lafarge has immediate openings for experienced Precast Labourers to join our Precast operation in Winnipeg. Precast Labourers are responsible for aiding in all areas of the plant. They are responsible for collecting materials, pulling strand, setting up forms under supervision and basic concrete placing. They participate in housekeeping and other various tasks throughout the plant. A high level of safety practices must be used at all times.
Responsibilities:
Receive oral instructions to determine work assignments.
Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
Position or dismantle forms for pouring concrete.
Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually or using powered equipment.
Assist machine operators, assemblers and other workers.
May assist with minor repairs and maintenance.
Remove rubble and other debris.
Clean and remove excess debris from molds and other equipment.
Participate in daily Pre-Production Meetings.
Complete Field Level Risk Assessments before beginning each task.
Qualifications:
These positions require a minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience
Precast experience would be an asset
Compensation from $19.29 – $21.72 per hour based on skills and qualifications. Includes full benefits and RRSP matching.
