Ladies Let’s Talk Hiring for English Teacher (ESL) Full Time

ESL teacher, Adult ed

January 11 – August 31, 2023: Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday, 9:30 am- 12 pm

• Deliver established curriculum to class of early beginner ESL students not exceeding 10 adult students in an 18-week second semester and an 8-week summer session.. Students are Afghan female refugees.
• Take direction from lead teacher and assist in pre-literate classroom as needed.
• Assist in administering assessment pre- and post-tests to all Basic English students
• Some experience with English language learners.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging environment for students.
• Administer pre- and post- needs assessment to evaluate success metrics set by curriculum committee.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA in education, social work, or equivalent experience
• Enthusiasm to motivate and engage students in learning English & cultural integration
• Ability to collaborate & work as an effective team member in a multicultural organization

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00 – $28.00 per hour

• Austin, TX 78704: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Adult education: 1 year (Required)
