Lactation Consultant Billing Hiring for Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant Full Time

We are a company of medical coding experts seeking business solutions for lactation consultants. Working in the industry since 2012 when the Affordable Care Act granted lactation coverage for U.S. women, we have been dedicated to finding the best ways to get IBCLCs, CLCs and other lactation specialists paid for their work as part of the mother/baby healthcare team.

Part-Time Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant

We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant to help with accounts payable, invoicing clients, and scheduling. General account bookkeeping and tax consultation would be great as well.

• Location: Mostly remote with monthly in-office meetings and an in-office training period
• 1099 Contractor: 1 year contract with option to extend
• Hourly Rate: $20/hr
• Hours: 15-20/week

Hours may vary based on the needs of the business.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank and credit card transactions
• Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Manage online accounts
• Keep record of receipts
• Organize vendor information and ensure proper 1099 filing
• Maintain employee and contractor records
• Work with CPA and assist with tax compliance, if needed
• Schedule client inquiry info sessions
• Schedule client onboarding sessions
• Collect client data and documents for onboarding
• Be available to respond to client emails within 24 hours

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferable
• 3-5 years relevant experience working in accounting and bookkeeping
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient skills in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
