Labrie Enviroquip Group Hiring for Transport and Customs Compliance Coordinator/Logistics Full Time

Principal Functions

Main responsibilities will be to manage customs and logistics requirements and optimize efficiency, minimize the time and costs of moving raw materials, components, and finished products between suppliers and Labrie production plants as well as the group’s service centers. (Canada, United States, Mexico, China).

TRANSPORT

• Develop transport/customs strategies to optimize supply chain logistics.

• Propose and participate in the implementation of actions to minimize costs and logistical delays.

• Participate in negotiations with carriers.

• Request bids for one-time needs not covered by the agreements.

• Develop decision matrices on carrier selection and ensure that the best decisions.

• Develop, guide and support transport consolidations with suppliers and Labrie production sites.

• Guide and support the team of buyers for the overseas transport of parts from China (validation of container quality, management of freight forwarders, management of road or rail transport, return of containers within the prescribed time).

• Review and approve transportation invoices.

CUSTOMS

• Review customs documents prepared by our suppliers and will provide support as needed.

• Ensure validity and keep HS and country of origin codes up to date in ERP system.

• Ensure the validity of our suppliers’ certificates of origin.

• Ensure customs compliance with the various authorities.

• Be the point of contact with our customs broker.

• Be a customs compliance resource for our Canadian, Mexican and U.S. operations.

• Manage tariff, gasoline and other surcharges.

Requirements

• Trade Compliance experience in HTS coding required

• 5 years of experience in the manufacturing and transport logistics sector.

• Bilingual in French and/or Spanish, preferred
