La Prairie Group Hiring for Accountant Job at Sydney Full Time

We are seeking a full-time Accountant to join our Finance team based in Rosebery.

Job Responsibilities:

Payroll:

• Processing fortnightly and monthly pay cycles – Including coordinating electronic timesheets, STP, adding new starters, general leave payments, paid parental leave and termination payments
• Processing and reconciling superannuation, payroll tax, PAYG taxes and workers compensation in SAP
• Manage changes to employee data ensuring that employee information is kept up to date and accurate in Micropay and HR system
• Management of retail award rates
• Identify and implement areas of opportunity and suggest ways to enhance existing payroll related controls.

Accounts Receivable:

• Upload bank statement in SAP daily
• Management of all invoicing and credit memos
• Maintaining accurate and up to date customer information
• Processing, analysing and managing accounts receivable payments, including tracking and billing clients and regular client communication
• Review AR Aging report and provide status report with detailed commentary by account
• Responding to client queries accurately and timely
• Reconciliation of general ledger including preparation of month-end general ledger entries and accruals

Accounts Payable cross coverage of function, including

• Process and manage intercompany payments via monthly payment process
• Processing supplier invoices monthly in SAP
• Reconciling supplier statement to SAP and making relevant adjustments / enquiries
• Processing supplier payments via manual or batch payment in SAP and the bank (AU and NZ)
• Maintaining accurate and up to date supplier information
• Processing clearing and allocations to supplier account

Accounting support:

• Provide support to Accounting Manager and Finance Director for month end accounts and adjustments.
• Provide support to Accounts Payable Officer. Including assistance with accurate coding, reconciling and inter-company payments.
• Ad-hoc support across the finance team and customer service.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience in similar role
• Previous SAP ERP system experience is essential
• Sage Micropay experience preferred
• Sound understanding of payroll legislation in Australia & NZ
• Confident in using Excel (Pivot, Vlookup, Sum etc)
• Excellent time management skills and an ability to prioritise
• Continuous improvement mindset and strong problem solving skills
• A self starter with high attention to detail
