La Palma is Looking for Bartender Full Time

We are a busy and beautiful Trinity Bellwoods neighbourhood restaurant with a Venice Beach-inspired menu, two patios, a private dining room, and an upstairs event space.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

– Perform delegated tasks from Operations Manager, Bar Supervisor, and/or General Manager
– Create positive guest experiences
– Knowledge of all food and beverage items
– Promptly receive drink order chits and pour/mix all beverages according to La Palma standards
– Communicate beverage descriptions, specials and information to guests and team members
– Setup and take apart bar area, dishwasher and espresso machine
– Stock and maintain all bar products
– Check and maintain beer, wine and liquor levels
– Be aware of any special requests, inclusive of guest allergies
– Other duties as assigned or required

QUALIFICATIONS

– 3-4 years bartending experience in a fast-paced restaurant/bar is an asset
– SmartServe Certified
– A Degree/ Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent considered an asset
– Extensive wine, beer and cocktail knowledge is an asset
– Passion for food, beverage and providing excellent customer service
– Strong oral and written communication skills
– Ability to stand for long periods of time and able to lift and move bottled beer, liquor and wine boxes.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 25-40 per week

Salary: $15.50 per hour
