Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the quality and provision of the Educational as integrated with the Mental Health program.
• Provide educational leadership and guidance to staff.
• Monitor professional practices within the instructional/treatment program.
• Hire, supervise, and evaluate all staff to ensure high standards of performance in conjunction with the Human Resources Department.
• Monitor revenue and expenses; use information in timely decision-making.
• Provide training to all staff in educational methods, curriculum development, positive behavior planning.
• Coordinate professional development opportunities.
• Generate and maintain Master Contracts and ISAs with districts.
• Secure NPS Site Certification, yearly as required.
• Oversee completion of report cards, credit counts, and transcripts.
• Oversee quarterly updates of IEP goals and reporting as required.
• Maintain and/or oversee all daily student data and services log as required by State
• Maintain regular contact with parents, districts, and community partners.
• Supervise and engage with students across the milieu; and
• Intervene in crisis as directed, following Pro-Act principles.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Ensure that IEPs are scheduled and held in compliance with educational law.
• Coordinates student intakes and discharges.
• Attend / Lead Staff and team meeting.
• Attend Senior Staff and Board meetings as required.
• Advises Human Resources office of staffing issues.
• Participate in grant generation and program expansion as indicated.
• Provide corrective feedback to employees as necessary.
• Monitor student achievement, report to Board.
• Serve on the Accreditation committees, as appropriate.
• Oversee Medi-Cal staff billing and services.
• Oversee updates and maintenance of all program handouts and handbooks.
• Generate and make available the School Accountability Report Card.
• Fulfill duties of Test Coordinator; and
• Fulfill duties of the Work Ability Coordinator
• Secure substitute teachers in teacher’s absence working with Human Resources; fill in as substitute teacher when necessary.
• Maintain employee files, certifications, and clearances as required.
• Oversee IEP documentation prior to meetings; Attend all IEP meetings.
• Other duties may be requires as La Cheim continues its development.
• Employees are expected to be flexible and responsive to changes in the scope of duties.

Requirements:

· Master’s Degree in one of the following: Education, Special Education, Psychology, Counseling, Behavioral Analysis, Social Work, or Behavioral Science,

· or

· Credentials in Special Education Mild to moderate

And

· Previous experience with youth, particularly those in disadvantaged communities and at-risk populations

· Must have a Valid Clear California Driver’s License and obtain DOJ and FBI clearance in addition to providing a clear TB test.
