As a subsidiary of L3Harris Technologies and within the Integrated Mission Systems Segment, the WESCAM division develops the most advanced optical sensor and targeting systems for global defense and military sectors, National Security, Search & Rescue and Airborne law enforcement agencies. From long-range covert surveillance missions to search and rescue operations, our MX-series systems, and the mission systems solutions they are a part of, produce stabilized high-magnification electro1-optical and infrared images from airborne, marine and ground based platforms, enabling our customers to see first and act first.

Primary Responsibilities

Assemble, repair, rework and/or troubleshoot complex opto-mechanical lens assemblies

Maintenance of system file and tracking assembly documents

Ensure all tasks are completed to scheduled delivery date

Generate Non-Conformance Reports

Afternoon Shift work required

Required Capabilities

Strong Electronics and Mechanical background including assembly, tuning and troubleshooting Electronic/Mechanical devices

Familiarity with reading and understanding technical drawings and schematics

Thorough understanding of techniques in the use of hand tools, soldering, crimping and measurement equipment

Excellent manual dexterity

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work within a team environment

Desired Education and Experiences

1 – 2+ years’ experience in the Mechanical and Electronics field

Previous experience working in an ISO9000, AS9100 environment an asset

Experience with Lean Manufacturing an asset

Community College Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical technology or equivalent experience
